The Avengers (2012)

Marvel's The Avengers is the crown jewel of their collection. This movie exceeded my expectations and did not let me down. It's like all the other movies were leading to this grand climax and ... BAM!

You have all these heroes coming together to save the world from the hands of Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston, who does a great job as the villain). He definitely had the aura of a bad guy with his sharp eyes, and the confidence he spreads all over the place, believing he should be the ruler of the world.

There were extremely humorous moments between the characters, like Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), tension building between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man, and touching, emotional scenes between Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). Then there's the genius of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), who brings them all together.

And, of course, there's the Hulk! Man, I have to say the Hulk killed in this movie. He was amazing, smashing and destroying everything in his way. Mark Ruffalo, as Bruce Banner, did a smash-tastic job with this role.

The effects looked so realistic. The way they made everything teleport, explode, and look completely destroyed. The costumes and props were great as well -- very detailed and realistic.

Director, Joss Whedon did an awesome job adding a little bit of everything, from action to drama to comedy to suspense. The movie was well directed and well put together. It will, by far, be one of my all-time favorite movies. It's what you might call a bloody fantastic film!
